The Pearl Mosque – Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jaber Bin Mohamed Al Thani Mosque Located in the heart of Doha, State of Qatar, the Pearl Mosque—formally known as the Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jaber Bin Mohamed Al Thani Mosque—stands as one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Designed to reflect both spiritual and aesthetic values, the mosque harmoniously blends architectural elegance with advanced technology. The project scope encompassed Lighting and Climatization Automation, Professional Audio and Display Systems, and the associated power and communication infrastructure. CDC commenced the project with its Professional Services, beginning with a comprehensive requirement exploration, a review of existing project documentation, and the preparation of a detailed gap and risk analysis. This was followed by the development of detailed design packages, including electro-acoustic studies, and the creation of a technical RFP. CDC then continued with full execution, leading up to testing and commissioning. The audiovisual and automation systems were designed with intelligence and sensitivity to the spiritual environment. The sound system is capable of automatically calibrating itself to the tone and volume of the praying individual, ensuring optimal clarity and immersion. Homogeneous sound distribution throughout the mosque enhances the spiritual ambiance. Sermons and prayers are recorded and prepared for distribution via broadcast networks and online platforms. The entire system is managed through a central control room, with additional mobile access via tablet-based controls. CDC successfully delivered the project on time, meeting both the technical and spiritual expectations of this prestigious landmark.
