Rapid Infrastructure Modernization
Featuring tens of thousands of LED wall-washer fixtures and an equal number of drivers, the original lighting system—originally installed in 2014—underwent a comprehensive modernization led by CDC. Nearly a thousand outdoor enclosures were custom manufactured, and over 600 kilometers of cabling were installed to deliver both data and power across the site. The project scope covered: Complete redesign of the automation system, as well as the power and communication infrastructure, including all supporting systems Replacement and consolidation of distributed drivers and controllers into industrial-grade enclosures, along with the installation of the necessary supporting infrastructure Establishment of a secure and robust network Centralization of system management to enhance control, coordination, and reliability Deployment of a unified interface for centralized monitoring, operation, and maintenance—ensuring streamlined control and improved operational efficiency The project was successfully delivered on time and within budget, in under a year—meeting the strict deadline set by the venue’s role in hosting the COP29 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Azerbaijan. CDC’s in-house team collaborated closely with the end-user and main contractor, maintaining open communication and deep coordination throughout the process. This achievement reaffirmed CDC’s expertise in designing and executing complex technology upgrades with precision, speed, and reliability.
