Strategic Airbase Modernization
Dukhan – Tamim Airbase is a strategically vital defense installation supporting Qatar’s national air operations and military readiness. As part of a broader base infrastructure enhancement, we were engaged to deliver a secure and mission-critical ICT infrastructure that forms the backbone of the Electronic Physical Security System (EPSS) deployed throughout the site. Our work focused on developing a high-availability structured cabling system and a Cisco-validated redundant data network capable of supporting thousands of surveillance and access control devices—ranging from high-definition runway cameras to biometric terminals and critical entry point systems. The infrastructure also included data center layouts, rack designs, termination schedules, and field cabinet planning. All designs were developed in full compliance with Qatar Engineering Corps and Military Police technical regulations, ensuring alignment with national defense cybersecurity frameworks and operational protocols. Our Role Conceptual Design Development Delivered an infrastructure concept tailored to the airbase’s operational, environmental, and redundancy requirements. Cisco Validated Network Design Engineered a resilient, multi-layer data network certified by Cisco to support EPSS and scalable traffic loads. Bill of Quantities & Tender Documentation Produced detailed BoQ and technical tender packages to support fair procurement and accurate cost control. Detailed Design Development Completed full system designs covering structured cabling components, panel layouts, cabinet elevations, and data center architecture. Construction Supervision Provided on-site supervision and technical coordination during implementation to ensure installation integrity and full design compliance. We have succesfully completed the approval and test and commissioning procedures, and handed-over the project.
